Overview of Idea

We will be recruiting college students who are extremely passionate about helping at-risk students. The main purpose of our program is to change their negative views towards academics, to set a foundation for their future academic progress, and to teach them valuable study skills while having fun!

The Specifics: What will the $5,000 fund?

It has come to our attention that a group of students at a local middle school are encountering difficulties in various subjects. If funded, we plan on using the $5000 to help these very students by incorporating activities over the summer. These activities include, but are not limited to: hiking trips, pool parties, volunteer activities, and camping trips. The money will be spent on transportation, food, and academic materials (practice booklets, school supplies, etc.). As the program grows over the year, we look forward to expanding our services to other grade levels and schools in the area. If granted the $5000, we truly hope to make a noticeable difference in our community over the summer and to continue throughout the academic year!
