Overview of Idea

In Thailand, The SOLD Project works with children at risk to prevent human trafficking & child sexual exploitation through education. This summer, we want to host a multi-week career fair at our Resource Center to expose students to possible future careers & encourage them to plan & dream.

The Specifics: What will the $5,000 fund?

Since 2007, The SOLD Project has been preventing human trafficking & child sexual exploitation in Thailand through education & community development. With this grant, The SOLD Project will be able to invite between four & eight local professionals to host day-long seminars & workshops at our Resource Center, teaching the students about various career opportunities & opening their eyes to consider new possibilities. We’ll also be able to take at least one field trip with the older students so that they can see behind-the-scenes working conditions firsthand at a job site related to a career field of their choosing.
