ReSource Philadelphia: A Pop-Up Community Arts Event

The pop-up trend that has taken the retail world by storm will be coming to Philadelphia this summer, but with a twist. From July 29 – August 5 we will be transforming an unused space into a center for emerging and established artists of all forms to share their crafts with the community.

The Specifics: What will the $5,000 fund?

We believe artists should be paid. For their work as artists. This grant will make this possible, and will also allow us to keep all events reasonably priced for the community to enjoy. While the completion of our Kickstarter campaign brought in the funds for the nuts and bolts of the project (space rental, insurance, A/V equipment, marketing, etc.) we are still working to raise the funds to pay all of our incredible artists. Nearly 50 working artists – working to create not only art but also change within their communities – will be participating throughout the event and will be paid for their performances and artwork.
